Valerie Wiesner lives her life with an open heart and mind, while traveling extensively and meeting other wise woman in all walks of life. Her passion is to support women as they discover their beauty, power and wealth of knowledge to share in their communities. She recognizes the innate wisdom women hold, and encourages a vibrant, colorful life- finding one’s soul passion. Her vision stems from Sacred Traditions worldwide which is why the Sacred Postpartum Healing Time is so important! I am the Mama to Sacred Postpartum Mother Roaster Training and here is a bit of bio about that!
Valerie has been involved with birth since 1980 when she hitch-hiked to "The Farm" Commune in Tennessee to birth her first baby as midwifery was illegal in Illinois where she lived while The Farm was a leader in the growing midwifery movement. Valerie met Ina May Gaskin and the other Farm midwives and her experience stirred a passion to help women embrace the sacredness and autonomy of birth. Training as a “Certified Doula” CD(DONA), Childbirth Educator(BFW, Spinning Babies, Gena Kirby/rebozos…), Steamy Chick Vaginal Steam Certification, Midwife (Indie Birth), Sacred Pregnancy Retreat Leader(SLM), Placenta Crafter(IPPA) and "Mother Roaster" prepared her for the many services she offers women in Northern Arizona. Recently new mama to Sacred Postpartum with the Sacred Living Movement, she now trains birth workers worldwide with cutting edge ancient healing for postpartum women in their communities.
Valerie lives tucked away in the mountains of Prescott, Arizona where she has home birthed, educated and raised 14 children plus a 6 year old caboose with her soul-mate. She gardens year-round providing the majority of their fresh food and herbs for health & healing.
